Since I don't have an Xbox 360, I haven't played many games on this platform. When my brother was home for spring break, he introduced me to CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2 and I was hooked. The overall storyline of the campaign is done extremely well. It's a great story and would make a great movie. Until now, the movie RED DAWN offered the best scenario of an invasion of America in any media. CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2 tops that by quite a bit. It's so engaging. The twists and turns of the plot are quite simply, enthralling. Of course, not all of the action takes place in America. The various characters that a player plays find themselves fighting in Afghanistan, Russia, Brazil, and a battle on a platform at sea. Silenced snipers, heartbeat sensors, and television-guided missiles are just some of the pieces of unique equipment that characters use during the course of the campaign.
The game can be played on three different levels: regular, hardened, and veteran. Unlike many games, the regular level is actually rather difficult to complete. Compared to other games I've played, it's like playing at least a moderate if not an expert type mode. The only con about the campaign I have is that there are a few moments in the game that are too programmed allowing for no real involvement from the gamer. I'd rather just see a cut scene to speed things up rather than just have to push a button.
Besides the campaign, CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2 also includes a variety of special ops missions and multiplayer play. Not all of the special ops missions are available at the beginning and can only be unlocked by earning a certain number of stars. The multiplayer games are mostly variations of the games found on a typical shooter game, e.g. capture the flag, team death match.
I immensely enjoyed playing CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2. It's a great shooter game that features an intense and engaging campaign plot. The only caveat is that it's not a game for younger children because of the violence (depending on maturity level, I'd say the youngest kids that should play the game are 3rd or 4th graders). Other than that, I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys a shooter game.Get more detail about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
