Cheap Fight Night: Round 4

No, no, no, no, no, no....EA what were you thinking? I anxiously awaited the release of this game after having mastered fight night round 3, playing it for about a year straight. Fight night round 3 had some of the best mechanics of any fighting game ever, and terrific game play. For those who say you can't make a fighting game work well with the analog sticks, well, you are wrong. Round 3 proved that, and if you didn't feel comfortable with the controller, then you didn't take enough time to get used to it. Once you got used to it, it felt as if the analog sticks were extensions of your left and right arms. The analog sticks were awesome. Now, Fight Night Round 4 could have been an amazing game. While waiting for it to come out, I frequently thought about all the improvements they could have added. In my opinion, they could have used the round 3 mechanics as a base, and added just a little more depth--perhaps some special combos, different fighting styles, better graphics, etc. However, what did they do? They took the best aspects of Round 3 and flushed them down the toilet. Playing this game for the first time was one of the most disappointing experiences of my young adulthood. This was almost as bad as the UFC game--which I also thought was going to have similar mechanics to Round 3, and was also disappointed to find out that game was really just a terrible wrestling game. When playing fight night round 4, you quickly notice that there is no actual way to play the game...as in, you just move around the ring trying to guess how to play the whole time, because the controls and mechanics are so bad, that there actually isn't any real way to play the game. It is a very awkward feeling. I honestly can't see how this game was even released. Did no one test this game? In summation, Round 3 is infinitely better than this game, although if I had to say something good about Round 4, I would say that the graphics are impressive. If "Round 5" is ever released, I really hope that they make the controls like round 3 again.Get more detail about Fight Night: Round 4.
