OK, first things first, I'm sure you know this is NOT like old NFS games, which isn't a bad thing. The idea behind the game is great. A game where your "crew chief" gives you pointers and briefing before races, awesome, as always with NFS, great cars! And probably the best in car camera you will find until GT5 comes out (god only knows when!). Unfortunately, they throw loose, "squirrely" handling that throws even AWD and FWD cars into turns like they are a Ford SuperDuty. Really EA? I have never heard so many tire squeals in my life! The game follows similar NFS formats (somewhat similar to Carbon) with tiers, and you progress through the game.
This game, while made with the best of intentions, is competing with too many already great games. I am a fan of ALL racing games. EA and the NFS team had their hearts in the right place, but they fell short where it counts. If you own a 360, buy Forza 3, if you have a PS3, I don't know, freeze yourself till GT5 comes out. Save your hard earned cash on another racing game, or put it into a real car ;-)!Get more detail about Need for Speed: Shift.
