This game is just not as good as many, many other first-person shooter games. It's supposed to be combining a gritty, futuristic reality with awesome graphics and an interesting plotline, but falls far short of that.
To put it bluntly, the gameplay is maddeningly bad. Unlike other games that present puzzles and situations you have to figure out, this one has scenarios / events where one simply has to guess at the right thing to do. And the myriad of repetitive tasks you have to perform to keep your character alive (manually repumping your batteries, swapping out gas mask filters, etc.) are boring, distracting, and lead to your character dying at random.
I tried liking this, but simply can't. It's a nice concept, but the execution is unenjoyable.Get more detail about Metro 2033.
