I was really excited when I saw the Madcatz fightpad. I have never been crazy about the standard 360 controller for fighting games, so this controller seemed like the perfect solution. Besides, it had one of my all-time favorite fighting hotties on it. I've been using it for the past week hoping to get used to it with Super Street Fighter IV, but it just isn't working out. Even though I love the button layout, the directional pad is no better than the 360's and the button reaction/ registry is actually worse. Where I'm able to execute special moves successfully 80-90% on average of my attempts with the 360 controller despite the ineffecient button layout, I'm only able to do them successfully about 60 or 70% of the time with the Madcatz. That translates into losing more often. After going back to the standard 360 controller today, I saw an immediate improvement in my performance. Not very flattering for the fightpad.
The overall feel of the Madcatz Street Fighter IV Fightpad controller is a bit cheap and quite uncomfortable. It works and you can still pretty much play games with it, but it is average at best.Get more detail about Xbox 360 Street Fighter IV FightPad - Chun-Li.
