Purchase Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition

I kept waiting for RE5 to come down in price. Just as it was coming down, the Gold edition arrived. While I was a little disappointed that it was the original game and a token for the rest of the downloads, I'm okay with it, but it sounds like Capcom wasn't clear on that point. If you already own RE5, the Gold edition won't be much of a deal. If you are just getting it, the extras in the Gold are well worth it.

I enjoy this one more than 4. The co-operative aspects take it to a better level. It's nice to have a companion who's helpful and can watch your back. And you need it. The enemies are faster, stronger, and much more numerous. This makes physical attacks much more important to conserve ammo. The limited inventory means you have to be more selective about what you carry. And you'll be going a long way.

From depressed town, to ancient ruins, to high-tech lab, the sounds, colors, and lighting are very well done. Just remember, it's dangerous to stare at the scenery when enemies are lurking about. I tend to use the regular costumes, just because I can't take Sheva seriously in that thing. I can't remember the last time I felt a need to follow the story arc in a game more than a couple of times.

This game was well worth theGet more detail about Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition.
