I saw my kids playing the Guitar Hero games and recognized many of the songs included. Once I learned to play the game myself I started getting the games for the classic rock songs they contained. I bought Smash Hits to take to a party with some of our friends because it had the most recognizable songs from my generation. After one of my friends got the hang of the guitar controller, he was into it. Playing along with songs like "Smoke On the Water" and "I Love Rock 'N' Roll" brought back memories of the days when we could only play along on our "air" guitars.
